The Quality Assurance and Development Laboratory

Where science validates performance.
IAQController

Built on chemistry. Backed by data.

The AirBox Quality Assurance and Development Laboratory stands at the core of our engineering discipline, where chemistry, materials science, and controlled experimentation converge to advance next-generation gaseous contaminant removal technologies. Within this purpose-built environment, we conduct rigorous efficacy, capacity, and sensor response characterization testing to validate and continuously refine performance. Our testing is reinforced by independent third-party verification aligned with ASHRAE Standard 62.1 compliance so every AirBox system is delivered with uncompromising scientific integrity and proven results.

Gaseous Media Development

At the core of our laboratory innovation is advanced gaseous contaminant media development driven by applied chemistry and materials science. Our team evaluates mechanisms, reaction pathways, and contaminant-specific interactions to continuously refine MolecuCore media performance while maintaining the integrity of proven formulations already deployed in the field. Through controlled contaminant exposure, breakthrough analysis, and capacity testing, we quantify removal efficiency to ensure reliable long-term mitigation of targeted gaseous compounds. This disciplined approach allows us to evolve media technologies responsibly, advancing capability without compromising the validated performance standards our systems are built upon.

Sensor Characterization

Sensor accuracy is foundational to intelligent ventilation control and IAQP performance validation, which is why every sensing platform undergoes controlled response characterization using modified Z-score analysis prior to deployment. Within the laboratory, sensors are subjected to calibrated exposure conditions to evaluate response time, linearity, repeatability, and stability across defined operating ranges. Drift analysis and environmental stress testing are performed to confirm measurement integrity under variable temperature and humidity conditions typical of commercial building environments. By validating sensor performance before integration into our systems, AirBox ensures that operational data used to inform ventilation strategy and IAQP documentation is both precise and defensible.
